Tritex II Series linear drive actuators integrate an AC powered servo drive, digital position controller, brushless servomotor and roller screw linear actuator in a compact, sealed package. Simply connect AC power, I/O and communications, speeding up installation and commissioning time resulting in a lower total cost of ownership when compared with other system solutions.

These linear actuators incorporate planetary roller screw designs, resulting in envelope sizes that match hydraulic cylinders and 15X the life of comparable ball screw technologies. Whether you are replacing existing fluid power systems or are looking for extending the life if existing electric solutions, Tritex II products can meet your needs.

Significantly Reduce Required Space and Operating Costs

Since the servo drive and digital positioner are housed in a single, sealed package, space requirements are reduced as the need for a control cabinet is eliminated. Without the need for a control cabinet, you can also eliminate the costs and labor-intensive efforts of long cable runs.

AC LINEAR ACTUATORS: APPLICATIONS & OPERATION

Tritex II linear actuators employ a superior inverted roller screw mechanism for converting rotary motion to highly robust and long-life linear motion. These characteristics enable the Tritex actuator to solve applications that previously required pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. No additional mechanisms (such as acme or ball screws) are necessary to convert the actuator’s rotary power into linear motion to move the load.

The Tritex II linear actuator can be programmed to follow an analog command signal, making it ideal for controlling multiple devices across factory automation, entertainment, or process control applications.

L1, L2, L3 = Adjustable External Travel Switch(es)
External travel switches indicate travel to the controller and are adjustable for either the home or end position.*

AR = External Anti-rotate Assembly
This assembly restricts the actuator output rod from rotating when the load is not held by another method. Shorter actuators have a single anti-rotation mechanism; longer lengths have a mechanism on both sides.

RB = Rear Electric Brake
This is a rear, internal holding brake. The rear brake is spring activated and electrically released.

SR = Splined Main Rod
A ball spline shafting main rod with a ball spline nut that replaces the standard front seal and bushing assembly. This rod restricts rotation without the need for an external mechanism. The rod diameter will be the closest metric equivalent to our standard rod sizes. Since this option is NOT sealed, it is not suitable for environments in which contaminants may enter the actuator.

Note: Adding this option affects the overall length and mounting dimensions.
